The announcement was made by The Software Report earlier this month. Also known as The SaaS Report, The Software Report is run by a team of editors, writers and media professionals with expert knowledge of the software sector and provides market research and insights, business news, investment activity and corporate activities within the software sector.
According to the report: “The year’s awardees have used their diverse backgrounds and strategic leadership to drive the growth and expansion of their companies, despite the financial stress that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on the overall economic environment. They have led their companies through acquisitions, mergers, organizational change, and the launches of new products and services, while cultivating positive and productive work environments.
“The selected CEOs are highly respected by employees and industry peers alike.”
In September Ideagen Plc recorded its 11th consecutive year of revenue and profit growth and in the previous month the company completed the acquisition of key competitor, Qualsys, for £15.6m.
Ben Dorks, CEO of Ideagen said: “I am thrilled to have been named one of the top CEOs of software firms in Europe. Thank you to The Software Report for including me in their list. Of course, my thanks also go to the amazing team at Ideagen. This has been a difficult year for everyone, but thanks to the support of all at Ideagen, the business is doing well, and we are in a strong position for the future.”
